On June 19th, 2009, Connor turned 1 year old! We decided to take him to the park since it was the first non-rainy day all month! It was just so sunny and beautiful out, we wish we would of had his party that day (friday) instead of the next! Of course I had to plan his birthday party with all the guests on a rainy, miserable day at the park so last minute (literally 10 minutes before the party), we had to change it to Aunt Cyndy's house. It actually turned out okay, she has a tramp and a play set in her backyard and I was just really concerned with the kids having fun. We had pizza and cupcakes, and of course we chose frosting that dyed everyone's mouths green! Connor ventured into the cupcake but quickly got turned off when his hands got messy! He was pretty much like, "Ok, I'm done now!". But I really thought I spent most of the time trying to clean food coloring off the hardwood floor and carpet, and the chair Connor was sitting on. Luckily Jonathan helped clean Connor and the baby seat so I'm grateful! We probably won't be getting those kind of cupcakes ever again, unless we use plan white frosting! But all in all it turned out alright, just wasn't the party I had envisioned for my first baby's 1st birthday party!
